35 Stunning Website Designs that Include Hand Drawn Elements

Hand drawn elements being used in web design is not really a new thing, but the trend is gathering speed, especially with young, modern bloggers and website owners, designers and developers.

A sketch included in a design, whether it is well-formed or scruffy, will catch the eye almost immediately upon opening the web-page.

Therefore, a hand drawn element is a great way of attracting the attention of your visitors to something you particularly want them to notice.

Some of these elements we are showcasing here are ‘doodles’, some are quite probably photo manipulations, others are digital art, and then there are some that don’t fall into any of those categories, but are still very appealing.

Putting Your Personality in Web Design

There is another site worth taking a look at that has not been mentioned in the above examples because it is comprised completely of sketches and doodles. To get the full benefit you really have to visit the site – a screen-shot just can’t do it any justice. It is the site of actor Jeff Bridges

*OK forgive me - thank you Carol !! [ this is what happens when its 4 am and one is running without caffeine ! ] :D

        Hi Mia,

Having too much caffeine isn't good for the body. You may want to consider cutting down on them.

        Cheers.

I just found a site that I am going to visit routinely (your site). I love the hand-drawn sites that you found...beautiful and inspiring. I also love your monkey...did you draw that, Aiden? Awesome! Anyways, I just redesigned my drawing community in a hand-drawn style - http://www.drawinghowtodraw.com/ - it was difficult to create - I used a 3-d illustration style which meant that I first drew it, transferred them to different cut and torn pieces of paper, glued them together, photographed the entire layout, then transferred it to a final design and css. I hope that everyone likes it...it was very difficult to do...but I love it.

    Thanks ...
